Vivian Comer Brooks, age 87, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2024. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 6th at White Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Alexander and Bobby Doolittle officiating. Burial will be private in Ramah Cemetery.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Jones County, Georgia on March 28, 1937, to the late J.T. Comer and Martha Lifsey Comer. She worked at Central State Hospital in the accounting department and was an avid golfer. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her son Dwaine Jay Brooks. She was a member of White Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Ralph Jackson Brooks of Gordon, two daughters Karla Brown (Ronald) of Gordon and Kema Brewer (Gary) of Hazelhurst, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to White Springs Baptist Church or to the Shepherd Center.
