Vera Griffin Hartnett age 82, of Cumming, Georgia passed away May 13, 2023. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 24th at 12:30 with services to follow at 1:15 in the chapel of Couey Reece Stanley Funeral Home with Rev. Freddy Hogg officiating. Interment will be in Olathe, Kansas Cemetery, beside her husband and son.

Mrs. Hartnett was born in Gordon, Georgia on July 30, 1940, to the late William Benjamin "Bill" Griffin and Grace Bernice Balkcom Griffin. She was a member of New Haven Baptist Church and served as pianist until she married Rodney Hartnett and moved to Olathe, Kansas where she lived most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Hartnett, a son Ryan Hartnett and a brother Billy Wayne Griffin.

Survivors include a son Jeff Hartnett (Susan) of Alpharetta, GA, granddaughters Lysle Hartnett of the U.S. Air Force, and Layne Harnett of Alpharetta, GA, a sister Betty Alice Eady (Charles) and a brother Hansel Griffin (Betty Ann) both of Gordon, nieces and nephews also survived.

Couey Reece Stanley Funeral Home in Gordon has charge of arrangements.
