Herschal Thomas "Tommy" Brown, Jr. age 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 17th at the chapel of Couey Reece Stanley with Rev. Tim Thomas officiating.

Mr. Brown was born in Macon, Georgia on September 27, 1953, to the late Herschal Thomas "H.T." Brown Sr. and Betty Jo West Shelton. He was self-employed for over 35 Years as a Fiber-optic specialist. He was preceded in death by his father H.T. Brown Sr, his stepmother Judy Brown, his stepfather Bill Shelton, his mother Betty Jo West Shelton, his sister Penny Brown.

Survivors include his children Amy Moore (Charlie), Corey Brown (Stephanie),  the love of his life Donna Poole, stepchildren Matt Poole, Cyler Poole (Lexi), Conner Poole (Ashley), grandchildren Preston Moore (Amber), Paige Moore (CJ), Pierce Brown and Cy Poole,  siblings Alan Brown (Charlotte) of Gordon, Pam Dodson (Craig) and Trae Shelton of Carrollton, numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved fur babies Penny, Pepper and P.J.

Tommy, affectionately known to many as Papa, loved spending time outdoors, especially camping and grilling with his family. He was also an avid fisherman and often looked forward to days at the beach. Whether relaxing on the front porch or sitting under the carport with his Jack Russells, Tommy truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of outdoor life.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
