The death of Mrs. Roslyn Strickland Brumbelow, age 83, occurred Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020.  Funeral services will be held Friday September 25, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home in Gordon.  Burial will be in Ramah Cemetery.

Mrs. Brumbelow was born in Jesup and made her home in Ivey for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosby and Lillian Alene Clark Strickland, her husband, Elmer Brumbelow and son, Jim Vitt. She devoted her life to caring for her family.

Survivors include her children, Sherrie Avery, Donna Collins, Steve Brumbelow (Marlene) and Paula Frazier (Chan), her sons-in-law Mike Avery and Roy Burke; eight grandchildren: Michelle Bacchus (Andy), Michael Avery (Courtney), Rebecca Coates (Travis), Angela Yarbrough (Ben), Jack Murray,  Lilly Murray, Shane Brumbelow (Holly), and Jeff Brumbelow (Kelley); fifteen great grandchildren: Drew Bacchus, Avery Grace Bacchus, Addison Bacchus, Asher Kate Bacchus, Briggs Avery, Chapel Avery, Alana Coates, Owen Coates, Kyle Yarbrough, Stephen Yarbrough, Ryleigh Brumbelow, Reagan Brumbelow, Reese Brumbelow, Conner Brumbelow, and Gray Brumbelow; a brother Horace Strickland and a number of beloved nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will be at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home, Friday, September 25, from 1:00 until the funeral hour for friends to call.
