Raymond Douglas Grimes age 81, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018. Services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, August 15, at Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Grimes was a native of Shellman, GA but had made his home in Gordon. He worked at Central State Hospital and upon his retirement he was acknowledged for his dedication of services of 34 years. He was a Licensed Funeral Director for over 50 years. He was a previous Co-Owner of White Columns Funeral Home in Gordon. Mr. Grimes was preceded in death by his parents Alua Duggan Grimes and Vonnie Belle Holley Grimes, and a daughter Karen Elizabeth Grimes. He was a member of the Gordon Masonic Lodge #240 where he had 50 years of service.


The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11:00 until 12:45 PM Wednesday at Couey Reece Stanley Funeral Home.
