Rayford Lee Jeanes, Sr age 85 passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Services will be held at 2PM Friday, December 9, at Snow Hill Cemetery with Rev. Kim Jeanes officiating.

Mr. Jeanes was a native and resident of Wilkinson County. He worked with Freeport Kaolin and retired from Engelhard Kaolin with 38 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents Burney Lee and Fannie Bell Lavender Jeanes, a sister Sara Faye Jeanes and a brother James Edward Jeanes. He was a member of Laurel Branch Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Alma Brown Jeanes, his son Lee Jeanes, his daughter Lynn Stripling, two brothers I.T. Jeanes and Bobby Jeanes all of Gordon and a sister Betty Doke of McIntyre, two grandchildren Ashley Stripling and Brandi Stripling.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7PM at the funeral home.
