The death of Mrs. Priscilla "Slick" Lewis Floyd, age 77, occurred Wednesday in an Atlanta hospital. Services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Gordon United Methodist Church with Harold Reece, Rev. Frank Morris and Rev. Doug Mays officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry.

Mrs. Floyd was a native of Elko but has made her home in Gordon for many years.  She was the daughter of Zuma and Martha Peterman Lewis and was a graduate of Perry High School, Class of 1966.  She was a bookkeeper with Tribble and Richardson in Macon, and a member of Gordon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Hershell Sinyard, stepson, Jeff Floyd, a sister, Jeffy Lewis and son-in-law Matt Clarke.

Survivors include her husband, Jack E. Floyd; daughter, Wanda Sinyard Smith (Bruce); four grandsons, Alex Floyd, Jackson Clarke, Chad Clarke, and Zachary Clarke; sister, Debbie June Prater (Ricky); brother, Bobby Lewis (LeeLee), and also many nieces and nephews.

She loved spending time with her family, playing bingo, reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, and cheering on her Georgia Bulldogs, the Atlanta Braves and March Madness.  She made a mean coconut cake and was the congealed salad extraordinaire.
