Funeral services for Mrs. Morea Mercer, age 76 will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 23, 2015 in the Chapel of Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Ramah Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Mercer was born on April 27, 1938 in Sugar Creek, TN. She was the daughter of the late Ruben and Beatrice Mae Daughtry Mills. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ruben Ring. She lived in Gordon for 25 years before moving to Chicago after finally moving back to Gordon 2 years ago. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Mercer passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.

Mrs. Mercer is survived by her 3 sons, Eugene Simmons of Streamwood, IL, Arthur Simmons of Meridian, MS, and Shawn (Jessy) Ring of Irwinton, 3 daughters Marcia (Billy) Loggins of McDonough, Edie (Felix) Gonzalez of Warner Robins, and Marie (Scott) Graves of Bonaire, a brother, Danny Mills of Evanston, IL, a sister, Imogene Quinn of Camden, TN, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Gibbs, Lee Ring, Brandon Ring, and Bruce Loggins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the funeral home.
