Mrs. Mary Alice Stubbs Branan, age 89, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019.  Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, January 16, at Ramah Cemetery in Gordon with Rev. Gail Smith officiating.

Mrs. Branan resided in Tattnall County but lived in Macon for many years working for American Office Equipment Company as a bookkeeper. She was the oldest living member of Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband L.D. "Bud" Branan and a son Jeffery Holmes.

Survivors include her sons, L.D. "Dicky" Branan, Jr. (Judy) of Toomsboro, Jon Gary Branan (Gail), of Athens, and Edward Neal Branan (Janet) of Orangeburg SC, a sister, Lucy Stubbs Forrest of Poquoson, VA, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home.
