The death of Mrs. Katie Jo Carr Meeks, age 77, occurred Friday, November 16. Services will be held Monday evening November 19, At 6:30 PM from the Chapel of Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home in Gordon with Rev. Phillip Cook and Rev. Archie Sealy officiating.

Mrs. Meeks was a life long resident of Wilkinson County, and was a member of Snow Hill Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents D. P. and Vallie Tindall Carr, her husband Junior Meeks, two sisters Sue Lavender, and Janie Swafford. She loved her family and her church family.

Survivors include her daughter Valerie Adams (Greg) of Gordon. Two grandchildren Holly Sanders (Charles) and Cory Adams, one great grandchild Ravyn Sanders. Several brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.

The family will be at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home Monday from 5:30 until the funeral Hour.
