IVEY, GA - The death of Junior Meeks, age 76, occurred Tuesday, July 19, peacefully at his home. A family visitation will be held Friday evening July 22 at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home in Gordon from 6:00 -8:00 PM. Services will be private.

Mr. Meeks was born in Macon but has made his home in Wilkinson County for over 49 years. He was retired from Engelhard and loved to hunt and fish before his health declined. He was preceded in death by his parents Collos and Nadine Hortman Meeks, two sisters, Joyce Barron and Catherine Foster.

Survivors include his wife Katie Meeks of Ivey, daughter Valerie Adams (Greg) of Gordon, 2 grandchildren, Holly Sanders (Charles) of Phoenix, AZ, and Cory Adams of Gordon and one great granddaughter, brothers, Charles Meeks, Darrell Thomas (Veronica), Donald Thomas (Jean), Tommy Thomas, and Terry Thomas, his brother-in-law Carlton Lavender and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home of Gordon is in charge of arrangements.
