Obituary

Judyth "Judy" Agnes Hardie Brown was born October 27, 1942, in Gordon, Georgia. She was predeceased by her beloved husband H.T. Brown, her parents D.C. "Buddy" Hardie and Agnes Lucille Ethridge Hardie, her daughter, Penny Denise Brown and her sister, Dianne Hardie Davis.

Judy was a proud graduate of Wilkinson County High School, Class of 1960. She earned an Associate's Degree in Home Economics & Business from Middle Georgia College, a B.S. Degree in Home Economics & Business from Georgia Southern, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Georgia College.

She worked as a dietician at Emory University, a dietician for Automatic Retailers of America, traveling to their food service facilities over the Southeast and as a dietician at the Macon Hospital. She began as School Nutrition Director for the Wilkinson County Board of Education, where she worked for 50 years. She was very proud that she brought back to the students and community which helped lay her foundation.

Judy was a charter member of the Wilkinson County Historical Society established in 1999. She served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors and President of the Historical Society.

Some of Judy's happiest memories were times she and H.T. spent at their 2nd home at Lake Sinclair, beginning August 1, 1980. Many memories were made with family and friends swimming, riding on the pontoon, fishing, fish fry Saturday nights, and riding Jet Skis. Any time with family and friends was special.

Judy is survived by a son, Tommy Brown (Donna), a son Alan Brown (Charlotte), grandchildren Amy Moore (Charlie), Keith Brown, Corey Brown (Stephanie), special granddaughter Harley Brown, great-granddaughter Paige Moore, special great-granddaughter Kylie Sinclair Brown, great-grandson Preston Moore, special great-grandson Levi Alan Brovm, special niece Denise Davis Barrett (Jason), brother in law Kenneth Davis, and many other nieces and nephews.
