Josiah Bamora
Patrick Mcconnell
Apr 6, 1995 — Feb 26, 2025
In loving memory, Josiah Bamora Patrick McConnell, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, passed away tragically on 2/26/25 at the age of 29. His life was one of strength, discipline, dedication, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew him closely.
Born in Ethiopia April 6th, 1995, Josiah was a true warrior who overcame many challenges in his life. He always embraced his culture and heritage with pride and resilience, channeling his strength in every aspect of his life. Whether this meant tending to his garden with care and passion, or managing his business with unwavering dedication, he showed all that knew him that hard work truly pays off. He did not work for himself, but for his family who were his whole world. His family creed was love, provide and protect, and he remained faithful to that.
Josiah was an adoring father to his daughter, Lily, and son, Tafari. He taught them to care for what they had. He provided a life full of special memories, love, and laughter. He loved to play with his babies, take them on hiking trips, and make them breakfast often. He loved taking walks with his family in the evenings because he was always wanting to be outside.
He was an avid gardener and could grow anything he put in the ground. He made a beautiful garden for his family and they enjoyed spending so much time together outside in the quiet. He loved having his family over and eating dinner and sharing conversation together.
His warm smile, big beautiful brown eyes, tight hugs, and vibrant spirit were gifts that enriched the lives of everyone around him.
Though Josiah is no longer with us physically, his memories and enduring spirit live on in our hearts of all who knew him and were truly there on the day to day moments. We will remember him for all of the good moments. He is looking down upon his family with pride and grace as his mind is finally at peace.
Josiah was preceded in death by his biological father and mother from Ethiopia, his close family friend Eve Blalock whom he thought of as a mother.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Charity McConnell, his children Lily McConnell (6) and Tafari McConnell (23 months), grandparents Lamar and Winnie Tidwell, parents Patrick and Jennifer McConnell, brothers Zelalem King, Yosef Tawodes, Derek McConnell, sisters Emma, Makayla, Bri, Ana, Amara McConnell
