Janet Gail Zwenig, 68, beloved sister of Frances A. Zwenig of St. Simons Island, died Tuesday morning August 18 after a short illness. Janet had been a part of the Harpers Joy community in Brunswick for over 20 years and was known to and loved by all. She will return to her parents, Sara Frances Moore and Eugene Amos Zwenig who are interred in Gordon Georgia's historic Ramah Cemetery. Prior to the graveside cemetery at 1 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2015 , there will be a noon visitation with family and friends at the Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home in Gordon, which was originally her grandparents home.

After the graveside ceremony, friends and family are invited to a reception at the home of Janets aunt and uncle, Charlotte and Raymond Grimes, directly across the street from the funeral home. I lieu of flowers the family would encourage donations to the Friends of Harrington School, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to the restoration of a 1920s era one room schoolhouse for African American children on St. Simons Island, P.O. Box 20496, St. Simons Island, Georgia 31522.
