James Thomas Hodges, age 79 passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. June 6, at Ramah Cemetery. Rev. Winston Vaughn officiating.

Mr. Hodges was a native of Ashburn, GA but his home in Gordon since 1972. He was a Welder working with Jim's Welding Service, Avery Construction and the City of Gordon. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred Hodges and Kate Nelson Hodges, a son Tommy Hodges, two brothers and two sisters. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Diane Hodges, a son James Hodges, Jr., two daughters Amanda Hodges Braxley and Megan Hodges (Brannon Tanner), all of Gordon, a brother Charles Hodges of Aiken, SC, a sister Ethel Foskey of Roberta, three special angels Amy Ayers, Rachel Ayers and Brianna Braxley and four grandchildren Caden Brett, Braden Brett, Maci Brett and Bentley London and his fur baby Sissie.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 1:30 at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home.
