Helen Elnora Wood Benford, 97, passed away March 24, 2021 in Griffin.  Graveside services will be held Monday March 29, 2021 at 2:00PM at Snow Hill Cemetery.  Rev. Dwayne Outlaw will officiate.

Mrs. Elnora was a life-time member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.  She was retired from Keebler.  She was the widow of the late James W. Benford and was preceded in death by her parents Andrew B. and Clara Fountain Wood, and her grandson Thatcher Benford.

Survivors include her son Larry W. (Ruth) Benford, and her daughter Barbara J. (Joe) Batchelor, seven grandchildren, Rebecca Granade, Jim (Kinda) Benford, Nina (Todd) Couch, Ronald (Crystal) Landrum, Jody (DeLane) Batchelor, Angela (Kenny) Quinn, thirteen great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 1:30pm Monday at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home.
