The death of Mrs. Fannie Mae Brown Brooks, age 81, occurred Saturday Sept. 13, 2014. Graveside services will be held Monday Sept 15, 2014, 11:00 AM at Ramah Cemetery in Gordon with Rev. Paul Curry officiating.

Mrs. Brooks was a native and life long resident of Wilkinson County and retired from Engelhard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie Herbert and Vera Tindall Brown, her husband, Merrill Brooks. Two brothers, Lonnie Brown and Gerald Brown, two sisters, Louise Sappe and June Ainsworth. And was a member of the Gordon First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Shelia Burson (Ray), Son Ricky Brooks (Teresa) all of Gordon, one sister Jane Mitchell of Macon. 4 grandchildren, Tripp Justice (Jamie), Michael Burson, Kyle Brooks (Alyson), Betsy Scott (Chance). 2 great grandchildren, Brooklynn and Brooks Scott and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will be at the home of Ricky and Teresa Brooks and at Couey Reece Stanley Funeral Home in Gordon Sunday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 for friends to call.
