Ellis Carter Nichols, 77, of Hwy 18, passed away Saturday at his residence.

Services will be held Tuesday August 1, 2023 at 2:00PM at Hardies Chapel Church of Christ.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Bob Myhan will officiate.

Mr. Nichols was born in Milledgeville, Georgia the son of the late Robert C. Nichols and Ruth Davis Nichols Bloodworth.  Ellis was a life-long resident of Wilkinson County and was retired from BASF.  He was a member and former song leader at Hardies Chapel Church of Christ.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his Wife, Brenda H. Nichols.   Son, Ellis Carter "Nick" Nichols, II.  Daughter, Kimberly N. Tompkins.  Grandchildren, Brooksie (Kyle) Manning, Josh Tompkins, Aiden Tompkins, and Emma Tompkins.  One Great Grandchild, Adalee Manning.  Brother, Bobby Lee Nichols.

The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Monday in the funeral home.
