GORDON, GA – Edith Mae Darity Watkins, 89, of Pine St., passed away Friday at her residence.

Services will be held Sunday October 5, 2025 at 3:00PM at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. Elder Wesley Watkins will officiate.

Mrs. Watkins was born in Danville, GA the daughter of the late Woodrow W.  Darity and Ethel Mae Fowler Darity.  She was preceded in death by her son David Watkins and infant daughter Mary Jane Watkins.  By her sisters Evelyn Carey, and Barbara Churchwell, and her brother Robert Darity.

Mae was a former employee of Dundee Mills, GEICO, and was a Homemaker.  She was a member of Ramah Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her Husband, Elder Calvin Watkins.  Her children, Debbie (Wayne) Layson, Diane Price, Tim (Angie) Watkins, and Edward (Darren) Watkins.  Her siblings, Sally May, Bud (Irene) Darity, Wayne Darity, Nelson Darity, Dennis (Wanda) Darity, and Randy Darity.   Her Twelve Grandchildren,  Twenty Two Great Grandchildren and Four Great Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00PM to 3:00PM before services in the church.
