Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Ellen Logue Davis, age 96, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Irwinton Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Horton officiating. Interment will follow at the Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis was born August 8, 1921 in Gibson, Georgia; she was preceded in death by her parents, the late Milo Olin Logue and Mattie Lee Brassell Logue, her husband, Hugh Wendell Davis, Sr. and two daughters, Virginia Carole Davis and Sherri Davis DuPree. She was a member of Irwinton Baptist Church, the American Legion and was past chairman of the March of Dimes. She retired from the Wilkinson County Board of Education as a secretary. Mrs. Davis passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017.

She is survived by her son, Hugh Wendell (Betty) Davis, Jr. of Peachtree City, four grandchildren, Deron (David McMullin) Davis, Meredith Davis Gray, Julie (Bethany Brown) DuPree and Jodie Ussery and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks, that contributions be made to the Irwinton Baptist Church, 147 High Hill Street, Irwinton, Georgia 31042.
