The death of Mrs. Dianne Hardie Davis age 71 occurred Sunday, April 5, 2020. A family Graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 7, from Ramah Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis was born in Macon but lived her life in Wilkinson County, she retired from the Wilkinson County Training Center and was a member of the Gordon United Methodist Church.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." Each of us who knew Dianne, or "Nana," have experienced her patience, kindness, humility, slowness to anger, and her joy in different ways. We celebrate her life by reflecting on how she embodied the meaning of love. Though her departure was sudden, we rejoice in the fact that she is in the presence of Jesus; here she is experiencing true peace and fullness of joy. As believers, we do not mourn as those who are perishing but we cling to the hope we have in Christ-that one day all tears will be wiped away.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth R. Davis of Gordon, two sons Randy Davis (Melinda) and Ricky Davis (Cathy) both of Gordon, one daughter Denise Barrett (Jason) of Ivey.  One sister Judy Brown of Gordon, six grandchildren, Carissa Couey (Justin), Abigail Walters, (Joel), Cole Barrett, Hardie Davis, Carleigh Barrett, and Gauge Davis, two great grandchildren Frankie Walters, and Jaxtin Couey.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Gordon United Methodist Church.
