The death of Cheryl Lynn Scarbough, age 59, occurred Saturday, July 3, 2021.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Cook officiating.  Burial will follow in the Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Scarbrough grew up in Alpharetta and lived in the Atlanta area a number of years before moving to Gordon.  She worked for Home Depot for over 20 years and Lowes Home Improvement for the past 8 years. Cheryl was a member of Snow Hill Methodist Church.  She loved the Georgia Bulldogs and tailgating at the games.

Survivors include her husband Keith Scarbrough of Gordon, one son Wesley Garrison of Gordon, brother Douglas Cowart (Michael Tatelbame) of West Palm Beach, FL, in-laws Floyd and Jackie Scarbrough of Gordon, brother-in-law Scott Scarbrough (Tammy) of Gordon and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will be at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 for friends to call.

Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonalds House or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
