The death of Mr. Mathis Stetson (Bobby) Weaver, age 78, occurred Saturday, December 29, 2018. Services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Gordon First Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Hamilton and Rev. Paul Curry officiating. Burial will follow in the Ramah Cemetery in Gordon.

Mr. Weaver was born in Orlando, FL but grew up in Baldwin County before moving to Gordon. He retired from Engelhard Kaolin as a Master
Mechanic with over 44 years of service and was a member and deacon of the Gordon First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sybil Bloodworth Weaver of Gordon, his son Robbie Weaver (Julie) of Elko, Gena Weaver Hayles (Kevin) and Sheri Weaver Meeks (Chris) both of Gordon. A brother Joe Weaver of Baldwin County and two sisters, Becky Martin (Emory) of Gordon and Mabry Weaver of Baldwin County, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, two step-grandchildren, six step-great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will be at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 for friends to call.
