Billy Gay, 85, formerly of Gordon, GA, passed away Thursday July 21, 2022 in Macon.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday July 31, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Gordon.  Burial will be at 4:00PM in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.  Rev. Aaron Thomason and Rev. Maxie Threatt will officiate.

Mr. Gay was born in Springvale, GA, the son of the late Lynwood Cornelus Gay and Hattie Pearl Lynch Gay.  He was the widow of the late Marilyn Goree Gay, and was preceded in death by his sister, Ernestine Usher, and his brothers, Lynwood Gay, Horace Gay, Clyde Gay, and Tony Gay.  Mr. Billy was a retired Accountant of 40 years with Imerys Kaolin.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gordon where he served in many ministries, a few of which include: Deacon - serving as Chairman, Sunday School teacher, church choir member, brotherhood, and Royal Ambassadors "RA's" leader.  He was also active in many areas of the Georgia Baptist Convention.

Survivors include his children, Pamela (Robby) Glore, Dennis (Lynn) Gay, and Melinda (Gary) Latta.  Grandchildren, Lee (Stefanie) Anthony, Will (Laura) Gay, Rhett (Kathryn) Anthony, Amanda (Chad) Seawright, Wyatt Latta, Wesley (Karalee) Glore, and Taylor Glore.  Great Grandchildren, Ella Kate Gay, Boone Anthony, Clayton Gay, Cooper Seawright, Lucy Seawright, Ridge Anthony. Grady Gay, Scarlett Jane Anthony, Shelby Glore, Colt Glore, Braden Phillips, Lauren Grace Glore, and Robert Glore.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Gordon First Baptist Church or to Georgia Baptist Children's Home Baxley Campus.

The family will receive friends from 7:00PM to 9:00PM Saturday July 30, 2022 in the funeral home.
