Archie Dupree Calvert, age 82, walked into the Golden Gates of Heaven on December 1, 2019 into the arms of his beloved wife, Lois T. Calvert. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m.  Wednesday December 4 ^th at the chapel of Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home with burial to follow in Ramah Cemetery.

Mr. Calvert was born on September 19, 1937, and he was a life- long resident of Wilkinson County.  He worked as a mechanic with Freeport/Engelhard and retired with over 45 years of service.  He attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Milledgeville.  Archie was a loyal husband, devoted father, and the world's best "Daddyball" to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Kate Calvert, brothers Frank, Arthur and Howard Calvert.

Survivors include three daughters, Cathy Brewer (Royce) and Donna Holcomb both of Gordon, Sherri Smith (Dennis) of Milledgeville; a brother Wayne Calvert (Brenda); grandchildren: Jennifer Brewer, Kristen DuPree (Shane), Thomas Holcomb (Brooke), and Will Smith (Paige); eight great grandchildren: Cadence and Caylee Bandows, Blake and Gauge DuPree, Piper and Sutton Smith, and Kylie and Khloe Holcomb, several nieces and nephews and other family and friends also survive.

The family will be at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 for friends to call.
